A Marvel Tale | Legosi | 13

She was right; my powers didn’t quite feel all there. It was possible it was just my imagination or the power of suggestion, but it didn’t really matter. I didn’t need powers to beat this bitch. In fact, subduing her the old fashioned way would probably be more satisfying.

I leaped foreword as Domino pulled the trigger, the dart zipped past just over my head, imbedding itself in the wall. Turning my lunge into a roll I landed on my back in front of her and kicked upwards with my right leg, knocking the gun out of her hand. Twisting around so that I was now facing downward I lashed out with my left leg knocking her feet out from under her, and sending Domino crashing to the floor. Now, bringing my legs together underneath me and kicking up, I did a foreword summersault flip landing on my feet again.

“Do you really think that SHIELD would have spent all that time trying to make me into the ultimate weapon without teaching me basic fighting skills?” I said as I spun back to face Domino again. “I don’t need powers to beat you baby, I mean your tough, but She Hulk you’re not.” The thought of She Hulk suddenly brought to mind that episode of Star Trek where Kirk bags the green chick. I began musing about the possibilities of living out every computer geeks fantasy, when I noticed that the dart gun I had kicked out of Domino’s hand had bounced off the wall, hit the ceiling, and landed right back in her hand. What were the odds?

“Lousy probability powers,” I muttered to myself as she swung the weapon back in my direction.

What happens next?

          Time to duel!
