A birthday gift for simon | dreamlover2 | 2

“Thought I’d just relax around here today” said Simon through a mouthful of sausages.

As soon as breakfasts finished Simon’s mother collects the plates and puts them in the sink as Tracey disappears into the hall. As his mother’s doing that Simon stands up as he clears the table, putting things away in the cupboards.

As Simons father passed away when he was only a couple of years old, and his sister was only a few months old. He can only remember, small fragments of memory of his dad as well as photographs, and things told to him by his family. He silently sits fidgeting with the letter for several minutes, turning it over in his hands wondering what it could be.

Eventually he opens the envelope after a few mins and takes out two things, a sheet of paper and a smaller, blank envelope. Putting the second envelope on the desk he unfolds the sheet of paper. He notices it’s the same handwriting hand as on the front. The envelope that contained these items
