Tricks for Viewing the Story Map
This Literotica Forums discussion thread discusses Chyoo Tips and Tricks:

As one example of a Tip and Trick, you can attach a User CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) to make new threads more prominent when viewing a Story Map with the browser. This can be useful for editors looking for where new threads have been added, and for readers looking for new material in their favorite stories.
The following CSS style sheet will highlight the current thread (the one being read before you pressed "Story Map") as well as any new threads. The current thread gets large text and a yellow background.
Save the contents between the cut lines as a text file. I call mine "chyoo.css".
8< --- Begin User CSS: cut after this line --- >8
.red p {
font-size: 18px ! important;
color: #ff0000 ! important;
}
p.sb {
font-size: 18px ! important;
background-color: #ffff7f;
}
8< --- End User CSS: cut before this line --- >8
Different browsers have different ways of specifying a user style sheet. For general information you might search here:

I found http://webdesign.about.com/ to be a useful resource. This particular link (as of January 2009) lists how-tos on writing and applying a user style sheet for Mozilla/FIrefox, Opera, and Safari:

The "Tips and Tricks" discussion thread (first link above) has some Q and A about specific issues on user style sheets. You might also find it useful to search for your specific browser name in connection with user style sheets:

Chyoo's own built-in CSS style sheet is here, in case you see any styles that you'd like to override or modify:

Intermediate web hackers may want to consider using the Greasemonkey Firefox plug-in to rewrite the width of the reading pane (where you are reading this page), whose page body is wrapped in a table with a fixed narrow width of 760 pixels. This fixed limit interacts poorly with large screens and/or font size changes.
