Wedding Nerves | homebrewer | 5

Katy decided not to tell Tony. If Umar Sadiq wanted Tony not to know, she didn't want to worry him unnecessarily. Mr. Sadiq was a good boss, as far as Katy knew. She had not met him, but Tony had only ever said positive things about him. And of course Mr. Sadiq knew that Tony would be at work on Tuesday evening.

Tuesday came along, and Katy was sitting at home with a glass of wine when she heard a knock on the door. She answered it and looked at the man on her doorstep. He was a little younger than she had imagined - probably on the right side of forty - with a neatly trimmed beard, and he was a lovely coffee colour, with twinkling black eyes. "You must be Mr. Sadiq," she said, "please, come in."

"Call me Umar," the man replied, coming into Katy's hallway.

"Okay Umar, please come through, and can I get you a glass of wine?"

"No thank you, I don't drink. But Miss Harrison, this won't take long." Umar went into the main room and perched on the sofa.

"Please, if I call you Umar, you must call me Katy. Now what brings you here?"

"Miss Harrison, Katy, there is no easy way to tell you this. I know you are getting married in a fortnight. Tony is having an affair."

How does Katy react?
