"Sounds like I'll be working without a condom," you comment. Your interest is obviously showing but you are genuinely curious.
"A trade-off for realism is that if it doesn't make sense for condoms to be used in the scene we don't use them on the set. Since you play a rapist before DNA profiling you probably wouldn't. Don't worry about disease, we already checked you out and if you had had anything you wouldn't have been offered this job. There's also a clause on the contract here." she says, pulling out a packet at least a dozen pages thick. She looks through it, and finding what she wants comes around the table and lays it in front of you. This also gives you a very welcome view of her curves, but you're pretty sure she knows that.
"Here. The director is a little eccentric. Basically as long as you're involved with this project you are only allowed to fuck other cast members or crew members that have his okay. I have to admit it's an effective way to keep disease under control. If you fuck someone else you'll be sued for a lot of money."
"Anything else I should know about?" you ask.
"Just that and the writers don't know how long your character will last. Beyond that it's a pretty standard contract."
You sign, with a smirk- a rather dirty though enters your head.
"You know, it might be a good idea to get a little 'blocking practice' in."
She smiles, inspecting your body like a side of meat. She knows exactly what you are talking about.
"Sounds like fun but you haven't been okayed yet. My flight back is tomorrow morning anyway. Glad to have you on board." she finishes with a wink and a smile. Leaving behind a script with a character treatment, she jokingly blows you a kiss- chuckling happily as she leaves.
Treatment: "The Providence Serial Rapist"
Real name will be unknown to all characters and probably never mentioned in any meaningful way over the series. Usually seen wearing a hoodie, sweatpants, and a Mardi Gra-like devil mask unless scene takes place in what will be known as the TPSR LAIR. Character is first seen during episode "Ugly Truth" as part of MENDEZ side-plot. In the scene where MRS. MENDEZ admits to her husband that she is pregnant scene flashbacks to some time during the summer. MRS. MENDEZ will be seen jogging along the resevior when she is grabbed by TPSR, dragged onto a sleeping bag in a nearby maintenance shed, and raped by TPSR. His orgasm clearly goes into MRS. MENDEZ's vagina, after which he pulls the sleeping bag out from under an insensate MRS. MENDEZ, takes a Polaroid picture, cuts a lock of her hair, and leaves.
Future plot is yet undetermined, but the possibility of never using the character again is unlikely. Projected plot- next scene we see TPSR would be in tentative episode "Reveal". MRS. MENDEZ has accepted that she's going to have TPSR's baby and is attending group therapy for rape victims. She begins to describe her attack when the camera focuses on another woman listening intently after MRS. MENDEZ describes her attacker. A flashback reveals that two winters previous a man broke into her apartment and raped her, audience clearly sees that this woman's rapist was also TPSR. The next tentative episode, currently named "Passion", has the two women talking to police to get them to consider the possibility of a serial rapist. By the end of the episode the sheriff of Providence along with the police in other nearby towns are going over case files, having just discovered a 4th reported rapes where the attacker has a matching description. Last shot will be of TPSR in his lair pinning to a pegboard a small plastic bag of Polaroid photos with a lock of hair taped to it, top photo being a similar rape trophy photo and the underlying photos appear to all be previous photos of the same victim. Pan over the board reveals somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 victims- and on the desk there's a small plastic bag about half full with photos of our main character ALICIA. |
