Dungeon of Depraved Demons | msTyry | 13

You figure “hey, these are zombies, right? They are the roaches of the undead—easy to kill!”

You shrug off the few still pawing at you and reach for a low hanging branch from a creepy old tree. With a mighty tug, the branch gives way, leaving you with what you hope will make a suitable weapon. And it better, because your first target is coming right for!

It’s funny what a lot of television will do to a girl. At some point from watching enough female empowering superheroines like Buffy or Xena, a girl might have the idea that she actually can fight denizens of the underworld, all while making loud yiyiyiyi noises and witty one-liners.

Thankfully, that’s just what happens here.

With a quick swipe of your branch, you take the head off one zombie while side kicking another. Then, with a perfect punch to the sternum, to crack another in half. Way to go, D!

Unfortunately, as you mentioned before, zombies are indeed like cockroaches… in that they tend to gather in large numbers. And yeah, the odds are getting rather insurmountable.

The next batch coming at you looks a bit hardier than this lot, but you still have the adrenalin flowing so you may just be able to hold them off. You are winning, after all. And really, what's the worst they can do to you?

It's at that moment that the passage from Amy's diary on zombies comes back to you. These aren't your normal Night of the Living Dead zombies. In fact, they are men and women who suffered a horrible fate. They are undead cursed to walk the earht with an insatiable lust and deperate need for release, much like Hannah outside. Except with a zombie, the victim, if killed in the throes of passion (and horny zombies are not the most gentle of demons), will be doomed to the same sad fate, hungry for sex while dooming her victims in turn. The zombie, with their rapid regeneration and ability to create more of their own easily make for the perfect shock troop to the demon armies.

You aren't too distracted by this recollection to not defend yourself from three more zombies, but you are a bit shaken, fear finally gripping you that there are worse things than death. Suddenly that other mausoleum door looks so much more inviting.

Press your advantage or make a run for the other door?

          Press the advantage! For glory!
