A Hard Choice | TheVillian | 5

Your latest offer was certainly not something you expected, in fact before the lunch meeting you'd only thought it was a rumor.

"So, Providence is real?" you ask.

Your host in this lunch meeting nods in affirmation. The name she gave you was Amy Goodman. She's a no-name in the business but as you understand "Providence" this was done on purpose. Obviously Hispanic in ancestry it strikes you that her generous breasts don't look obviously fake under her shirt, something sadly is a problem even when many actresses have their clothes on.

"Yep, a grand attempt to prove to the world that pornstars can actually act. It's basically a soap opera in which the camera doesn't pan out during nudity and sex scenes."

"That doesn't really help your case."

She smirks, appreciating the joke, "Have to start somewhere. The over setting is a small Texas town in the early 80's, a coming of age story centered on a mixed-race girl in her late teens who lives in a town where the civil rights movement had produced mixed results at best."

You have to admit, for a porn series that is pretty deep, "And how would I play into this?"

"Writers are still deciding just how deep, but a long running sub-plot has been that their neighbors the Mendez's, my character and her husband, have been trying to have a baby for years. Pretty soon the audience will see my character take a home pregnancy test that says positive, but she hides it from her husband instead of telling him. A few episodes later a flashback will reveal she was raped while out for a jog and she's pretty sure the rapist is the father. Their sub-plot will become what they will do with the unborn child after the husband finds out."

"And you want me to play the rapist."

"Yep. I should warn you the writers aren't sure how long your character will stick around. Some want you to never be seen again, while others want you to become a regular thing. A couple writers even like the idea of ending the season with you raping the main character."

It's a bit much to take in, but the Providence project does carry a certain level of prestige with it. . .

"So, what do you think? You want the job?" she asks.

Do you?

          Yes, For the Art obviously.
