You first try to work the radio, & when you find that it is dead, you get up, & stretch your sore & battered limbs. You look over at your passenger, who is still sound asleep. You write a note to her saying, "Don't leave. I'll come back. I'm looking for some help."
You then climb out of the plane, & look around. You don't see any buildings or footprints, but you do see smoke. That's where you'll find people you think to yourself.
The smoke was a lot farther off than you think. About a 5-mile hike through thick brush & rocky ledges. Finally, you hear voices. You look through the brush, & see what looks to be some sort of tribe. There seem to be some sort a ritual going on; All the men are sitting in a large circle, & all the women are dancing in the center.
You continue to watch, & notice that there is 1 highly-ornate woman standing behind it all. She raises her hands, & the dancing ceases. All the women fall on their knees as she approaches them. She places a decorative headdress on 1 of the women. She then stands, bows, & follows the head lady to a large tent. The remaining women get up, as do the men, & they all carry on with chores. You can tell these people don't speak English, but will they be able to help you out anyway? |
