Kathryn and Sandy snuggled in Kathryn's bed as their husbands waited outside, glowing from their earlier sex bouts and talking about Kathryn's crazy dream.
"I'm on board with your dream for us," Sandy said. "But I can think of one reason why things might not work out quite the way you dream. For you to have Peter's baby. I mean, aside from fate and all that stuff."
"Why?" Kathryn asked.
Sandy began, "Because Peter and I have, well, you know Gary and Mollie have their twin girls and are expecting a boy?"
"Yes, you just told me the news," Kathryn said.
"Mollie and Gary asked Peter to father their third. Their new boy will be Peter's son. And Bernie and Grace? Their second is Peter's."
"Oh my," Kathryn said.
Sandy laughed. "So your dream isn't so crazy, maybe. It's just a little more complicated. As to Gary and Mollie, well, we see them a lot, but let's say I've never been as close to Gary, and Mollie and I could never share a kitchen. Bernie and Grace, you know, they're happy together. You and Bryan? Yes. But let's make sure we're ready."
"I never dreamed that when I said my dream, I'd hear that you, I guess, that you're ahead like that," Kathryn said.
"Not me exactly, but Peter. And I was in on it. You know me. It was a long talk, and all, but we decided it meant a lot to us, each time," Sandy said.
Sandy and Kathryn lay side by side, looking in each other's eyes and breathing quietly. Kathryn's mouth twitched up in a smile, and Sandy answered with a grin.
"Call the guys in?" Kathryn asked.
Sandy nodded.
"We better be quick, because I have some plans for Courtney I need to get going today," Kathryn said.
"Okay," Sandy said.
"Hey guys, c'mon back!" Kathryn's voice came from behind the door.
"Do we need to be hard?" Bryan called.
"You better be," Sandy's voice said. |
