The flight to the Bahamas goes relatively smoothly. You spend the whole time talking with about what the two of you have done with your lives, and how everything seemed to be going great, and then how having a bomb dropped on each of you almost destroyed everything. Just as the plane is landing, leans into you.
“So, now that we are here, what would you like to do after we check in?” She asks you.
“How about a stroll on the beach?” You shoot back.
“Sounds wonderful!” She sighs in appreciation.
Once you deplane, you wander through the airport looking for baggage claim. Once you have it all, you and your friends step out to the curb, where you are greeted by another limo driver. He takes your bags and stows them as your party steps inside. sits next to you for the trip to the hotel. All of your friends smile when you take her hand in yours and drape one arm over her shoulder and run your fingers up and down it. just purrs at the contact. She seems to be enjoying your company already!
You are almost sad when the limo pulls up to the hotel. You don’t want the moment to end, but the prospect of more and better times with compels you to break contact with her. You exit the limo first, and offer her a hand in getting out. This chivalrous gesture draws a large smile from her. The bellhops take your luggage and place it on hand carts. You tip the driver and head inside to check in.
“Good afternoon sir! Welcome to Paradise! May I have your name sir?” The desk clerk greets you.
“ Marinelli.” You say.
“Oh dear! Sir, I am afraid to inform you that your room has been double-booked and the other party has already signed in.
“Excuse me?” How is that possible?” You ask.
“The computer confirms that they checked in at 8:15 this morning sir!” He responds.
“Okay so what do I do now?” You ask politely. comes over to you.
“Is everything alright ?” She asks.
“Well sir, it is standard hotel procedure to upgrade your reservation to the next largest room available, but only charge the rate you booked at.” He informs you. A smile comes to your face. “However sir, you booked a single-queen suite. Unfortunately, there are no double-queen, single- or double-king suites, available. The only room we have available at the moment is the Honeymoon Penthouse on the top floor. It is a brand new suite for us and you would be among the first guests to occupy it.” He tells you. Both you and are at a loss for words as the clerk hands you a set of key cards for your suite.
“Well, shall we?” You ask her. You offer your hand to the beautiful woman accompanying you. She smiles takes it and the two of you stroll towards the elevator.
