Jeremy stood nearby watching the scene watching his aunt trying to comfort her childhood friend. At one point, Jeremy shifted his eyes over to Courtney and he could see she was in deep thought. That was always one of Courtney's strong points, he thought, especially since she has a high IQ. Instantly from her facial expressions, he knew something had clicked in her mind.
"I know this is going to sound inappropriate for the moment, but...were you artificially inseminated?"
Carissa looked at her with a sad, but confused look, "Yes, all three times, why?"
"Well... I think your body has been...rejecting the artificial inseminations."
"What are you saying, Courtney?" Bryan asked bewildered.
Jasmine thought for a second, "I think I understand," She says rubbing Carissa's back and holding her close.
"Well, what are you trying to say Courtney?" Jeremy asked.
"I was saying that they should t-try ...natural insemination." she stammered out the words and blushed deeply trying to get the last words out.
The adult smiled and Carissa reached up and stroked Courtney's hair, "You are such a sweet girl. Do you have anyone in mind?" |
