"Account of Courtney & Jeremy | tantrikenetic | 10

"Not a clue." Jeremy threw his hands up in the air. "I mean, sometimes I catch her staring at me, and they she looks away and blushes..."

"You're right. No clues there." Peter said, with a roll of his eyes. Jeremy shot him a look, then continued.

"But other times, she just straight up ignores me. Like when we were at this pool party. I couldn't help but stare at her in her bikini. But she didn't look at me unless she had something to say to me, and even then it was for only a few moments. And on occasion...I've tried to make a move with her. Not a lot, but sometimes I get stupid brave and try to set a romantic mood. But she immediately changes the conversation or shuts down any attempt at romance." Jeremy shook his head. "She makes my head hurt trying to figure her out."

"Sounds to me like she actively trying to avoid any kind of sexual situation with you, Jeremy." Bryan said.

"Oh, good." Jeremy sighed sarcastically. "That bodes real well."

"Kid, let me let you in to a little secret about women." Bryan replied. "If Courtney really was uninterested in you, she wouldn't have to TRY to avoid those situations."

"Huh?" Jeremy asked.

"He means that the reason she wasn't looking at you at the pool is because she actually really wanted to." Peter chimed in.

"That makes so little sense, it's almost a kind of anti-sense." Jeremy crossed his arms.

"Courtney's scared, Jeremy." Bryan took over the conversation again. "She's scared you won't return the feelings she has for you."

"...Really?" Jeremy asked, leaning in. His interest was suddenly genuine.

"Trust me. No girl would go through all the trouble she has just to avoid the situations you've described unless in actuality she really wanted it. If she didn't have feelings for you, she would just say so, don't you think?"

"I...guess so..."

"She's hot for you, Jeremy." Peter said with a wink. "I think that much is pretty obvious."

"So what should I do?" Jeremy asked.

"You still don't know?" Peter asked, exhausted.

"No! I mean...I know I should tell her how I feel...but how? If she keeps skirting the issue, how am I supposed to bring it up?"

"Don't give her a chance to get away." Bryan said. "Be direct. Get right to the point. Don't play games - just let her know how you feel."

"Hmm...I think you guys are right." Jeremy nodded. "Okay, that's what I'll...what I'll..." Jeremy's words died out as the door to the bedroom opened up.

"Showtime!" Peter whispered to Bryan, who rolled his eyes.

What does Jeremy do?

          Tries to talk.
