Jeremy remembered that the Jones' had a security system installed on their door. It was called the Fingerprint Recognition and Door Unlocking Mechanism. or FRADUM for short. It held various fingerprint records in its system and only unlocked to people that it recognized and if it didn't it locked the door and called the police. It was making Door keys obsolete.
But that was not what was on Jeremy's mind at this point. He wondered if Courtney had asked her dad to take his fingerprints off the system. He decided to take a chance and clutched the doorknob. After a long moment, Jeremy could hear the door unlock itself. Quickly opening the door and closing it Jeremy walked inside.
Inside, Jeremy found the living room to be empty. He started to wonder where she was until he heard a sound. |
