They had made it to the temple of Aphrodite without any trouble. The building was built with an eye to the erotic as images of people in various states of love making were shown on the walls. As the two lovers entered and headed to the alter, hands on each other, the goddess herself appeared before them. The two of them smiled at the goddess.
"What are you two doing here?" Aphrodite asked as she looked at the two. She never had a close relationship with the two as she had tried using them before to get her way.
"We're getting married. If you'll allow it. Joxer and Xena. Lovers forever." Joxer exclaimed as he headed in to kiss Xena. What shocked Aphrodite was that Xena not only allowed it, but seemed to be following Joxer's lead.
That's when the goddess notice the bag. She took it while the two were otherwise distracted. Inside she found her powder of love. That would explain their behavior. But why would Aries do this to Xena and Joxer?
Unless it wasn't part of his plan. Aphrodite smiled at the possiblities this presented. Likely she could control the victims of the powder.
