The four young students traipsed back downstairs, supporting the still rather ill-looking Japanese girl between them. When they got back to the common room, they found Allison on her own, sipping on a large cup of something alcoholic.
Where are the twins, asked Anita as the girls collapsed onto a group of chairs, with Suki between them.
"They went into the downstairs bathroom just after Jo went upstairs and they haven't come out yet," replied Allison. "There's definitely something a bit weird about those two, if you ask my opinion."
"Do you think we should go check up on them?" asked Cathy.
"Why? Do you think they're doing something they shouldn't be doing?" asked Anita.
"No, I just mean see if they are alright."
"What in case they're doing a Suki in there?" asked Allison, then (to Suki), "sorry man, couldn't resist."
"...Ssorrite..."
"If you want to check on them, go right ahead," said Anita.
"No, its OK, I'm sure they're fine," replied Cathy.
Then five minutes later:
"Do you think I should check up on them?"
"who?"
"Sam and Eric."
"Oh yeah... If you like."
Cathy paused, then got to her feet and strode purposely out of the common room. Moments later, she was back:
"Oh... my... God!" she said. "You will never believe what I just saw."
"What was it?" asked Anita and Allison in unison.
"I can't tell you," replied the American, "you've just got to see it for yourself."
"That's a bit difficult for some of us, replied Jo."
"Oh shit, yeah," replied Cathy. embarrassed, "well look I'll whisper it to you, but the others have got to see for themselves."
Cathy whispered in Jo's ear and Jo went bright red:
"You're kidding!" she shrieked.
With that, the others made a leap for the bathroom. Once inside, they realised what Cathy meant.
"Oh... my.... God!" echoed Allison. |
