You spend almost a minute trying to decide what to say, before finally looking at Ellen.
“Oh, no! I’m NOT flirting with that lesbo!” She declares before you can say anything.
“You don’t have to!” You interrupt her before she can say anything else. “Just go to Cathy and talk to her about something. Anything will do, as long as you can keep her occupied for half an hour. It’ll be best if you can come up with an excuse to get her to leave her room and go with you somewhere. Anywhere is fine, just as long as it’s someplace away from here, so that we won’t have to worry about her. Flirting should be your last resort, in case everything else fails.”
“An excellent idea!” Amy agrees enthusiastically. “This way you can keep her off our backs, and you won’t have to do anything you don’t want. So what do you think, Ellen?”
Your blonde friend is still not convinced, but is having a hard time coming up with a good objection to your idea. “But what could we talk about? We don’t have much in common…” She says weakly.
“I’m sure you’ll think of something. So, it’s decided, then. Ellen will go and keep Cathy occupied for at least half an hour. Right?” Amy looks at both of you expectantly.
“Right.” You immediately agree.
“Right. Ellen agrees with a sigh, finally giving up her resistance.
“It’ll be fine, Ellen.” You assure her, trying to give her some courage.
“Yes, I’m sure everything will work out, so don’t worry about it.” Amy assures her roommate.
“I hope you’re right.” Ellen says before checking herself in a mirror. She brushes her hair and asks you how she looks. Both of you assure her that she looks great and with a final sigh she walks out the door. Casually she goes to Cathy’s room and knocks on it. A few seconds later the door opens… |
