Kenny entered his small crappy apartment. He sighed as he looked around. It wasn’t the worst place he had ever lived but he had certainly seen better days. Just then the phone rang. He smiled as he went to pick it up.
“Hello.” Kenny said.
“Is this Kenny Laskey?” I loud voice said on the other end.
“This is Mike Armstrong, Of Miami’s own Cox Radio you have just one the Cox big radio giveaway…” The announcer began to tell Kenny what he had Just one. Which was every thing he had written on the paper. He tried to act surprised though he had no problem acting excited his life was finally turning around. He could only smile as he hung up the phone. He looked at the time. He still had some time before the lottery drawing. Suddenly there came a knock at the door. He half expected either Leighanne or Hailey to be on the other side. |
