Aaralon's Discoveries | MedianoxTono | 5

"I don't know Master." The Tar'oth answers.

"You don't know? What do you mean by that?"

"I'm sorry, but we are very mysterious creatures. Even to ourselves."

"Well." Aaralon says as he opens the wine bottle pouring some in his hand. Flying in his hand, the Tar'oth sips the wine. "It's no worry. I need some rest anyways."

Finishing the wine the Tar'oth flies off Aaralon's hand and lands next to the oil lamp, as he takes a few big gulps of the wine, then closing it and putting it back in the bottom drawer, along with the rewrapped bread. Taking off his boots and robe he lies in his bed, covering himself with the wool blanket.

"Master, where shall I sleep?" the Tar'oth asks.

Sitting up right, Aaralon opens the top drawer getting out an old shirt. Folding it and placing it by the oil lamp. As the Tar'oth flies to the shirt, coiling herself with her bat wings, she looks up to see Aaralon laying back down, with his head buried into the pillow. She whispers, "Good night Master."

With a long pause of silence, Aaralon responds in a low moaning voice. "G'night."

The next morning was a very beautiful one. The skies were clear and blue. The clouds were white and the sun let out comfortable warm rays over the school. Waking up, feeling refreashed, Aaralon slid out of bed, putting on his soft, brown, boots and tousers, with a new white shirt he bought. Not thinking about the Tar'oth, he goes out to the mass hall, leaving his bed unmade, as always.

Getting his bowl of food, which never looked like what it's suppose to, and cup of milk. Aaralon walks down the long wooden tables and sits next to a dark skin mage. With a black blindfold wrapped around his bald head covering his eyes. Wearing black leather boots and tousers with a black trench coat, opened, showing off a white cotton shirt.

"Good morning Nathaniel." Aaralon says as he starts to eat his food.

"Good morning to you as well." Nathaniel responded politely. "Did you sleep well?"

"Well... like always, it could be better."

Nathaniel chuckles. "Well even though it's not the best, just be thankful for the things we have. Don't worry about it. Things will become better in the long run." As he goes down to eat from his bowl, pausing for a brief moment. Raising his nose in the air, taking in a big breath, then letting out.

"What's wrong?" Aaralon asks as Nathaniel continues to sniff the air.

"Elizabeth, she's wearing that perfume that I like."

Looking around the dining hall finding the raven haired, green eyed, temptress herself just sitting two tables down by herself. "Even though you're blind, you still continue to amaze me, you know?"

"I know, that's why I do the things I do." Nathaniel say as he drinks from his cup.

Even though Nathaniel is blind his other senses are extraordinary. Aaralon and Micheal or any other man, have yet to hear the heartbeat of a lady from yards away. To feel the warmth of her body. To taste her tears. To smell her perfume, her breath, her nector. But yet, still a great gentlemen.

Not only he was a lover, but a fighter. Any weapon he puts in his hand he exciled at. Using a weapon more than magic to fight, he's always seen with a man of such bravery. Head Mistress Janna, adopted him and brought him in when he was ten when she found him performing magic tricks, blind, in the market for money with his pet wolf, Nightmare. His parents were taken away from him at the tender age of five, when a village fire went out of control. His eyes were magically taken away from him when he confronted the one who burned down his village. Who burned the village and stolen Nathaniel's eyes, and why, remains a total mystery.

"Where's Nightmare?" Aaralon asks.

"She's prowling somewhere around the school. She always seems to hide from me during the day and ends up sleeping under my bed when I come back from classes."

"You better hope that those animal tamers doesn't catch her."

"Don't worry, it's been like this for years. Never seem to be controlled by the tamers, but I believe she will be safe."

"Good morning Nathaniel, Aaralon."

"What a good morning indeed." Nathaniel says as Micheal sits down in front of them, wearing his white cotton shirt, brown tousers and boots with his black leather pouch to his side.

"Have you heard about the kidnapping of the Mayor's Daughter?" Micheal says discreetly.

"Really?"Aaralon said in amazement. "What happened?"

"Gnoll riders attacked the village last night, killed a few guards, people, live stock, burned down houses and then kidnapped his daughter."

"But why would the Gnolls attack the village?" Aaralon asked. "It's not like them to do anything violent like that."

"The Gnolls are very unparticular beings." Nathaniel answered. "To the things they think, to the things they do."

"Well, I don't know, but the school was chosen by the Mayor himself to put out a search party for her." Micheal continued. "And all I have to say about it, is that I hope I'm picked so I can get out of this school for once."

Micheal was an excellent student, but lacks challege. Which is why Nathaniel, Aaralon and him became such friends from the start. Even though he wasn't as good as Aaralon with magic, or as brave as Nathaniel, he made up with the knowlegde of many sciences.

Leaving him standing at the doorstep of the school at the age of three, Micheal was drafted into the school when his parents first discovered his strange interest in science and magic. Never knowing who his parents were, he still continues to train and study, trusting in Nathaniel and Aaralon to be there for him not only as friends but more like brothers.

"I wouldn't mind either. I like here and all, but I just need some freedom on the outside."

"You just like it here because of all the girls here ready to fuck any guy, any time, any where." Micheal said making Nathaniel and Aaralon laugh.

As they continued to laugh, Nathaniel responding with a smile. "First of all, I don't fuck these... girls, I make looooove." Making Aaralon and Micheal laugh even harder. So hard Micheal choked on his own breath trying breath and laugh at the same time. "But really, I do wish to get away from all the studying and the tests. This just isn't the life for me. Plus it's even harder for me since I can't see and I have to study with my mother and take oral tests."

"I agree my friend." Aaralon said putting his hand on Nathaniel's shoulder. "We do deserve a holiday, but what chances do we have, with this many students to choose from?"

"Aaralon is right. As hard and as long we've been working, we do deserve a day or two out of the school. Even though we will be working abit. Plus these boring classes are killing me."

"Well I don't know." Aaralon said while finishing his bowl of food. "I'm just not going to think about it. I'm just going to finish my years here and just be free and done." Getting up from the table. "I'll see you at lunch."

Just as Aaralon was about to walk off. Head Mistress Janna walks on to the main stage wearing her usual purple robe that concealed her body with hood and black boots. Following her was following Grand Magus Sareth, with a white cotton shirt and brown leather tousers and boots. "Students if I may have your attention for a moment." Head Mistress Janna annouces. "We have something that we are in need to tell you."

What does Head Mistress Janna have to say?
