• : K Recruit Hopeful
This is your central character. As this is in the first person, everything that happens in the story, she must be present for. Everything thought described must be her thought.
As our story begins, is a member of Crix (see CLIQUES section, below), but receives a letter inviting her to a trial, which will perhaps make her a K Girl. has wanted to be a K since her first day at Davinci.
is a somewhat shy girl – a good student, and something of a follower. She’s been coasting through her scholastics as well as her life, with little concerted effort, she gets recognized for her talents, yet has never found any one thing she truly wanted.
’s physical characteristics have yet to be described much, but we know this so far: She has long brown hair, glasses, and she dresses somewhat conservatively. Her breasts are somewhat small, in the B cup region. All other physical traits are currently open ended.
From the beginning of the story, is very sexually inexperienced. She’s gotten herself in situations, naturally, but has never so much as seen another living persons’ genitals.
• Trish K: Junior K Member
Please note that the story has an immediate fork in it that reveals which character will view as her mentor. If it’s Trish that talks to her immediately in the bathroom, she becomes ’s K Group Mentor. If Tanja talks to her in the bathroom, than Tanja is – the third option would be that there is no mentor, which would also be part of Tanja’s story.
But if you’ve followed the Trish story, views Trish with loving eyes. wants to be a K, but she wants Trish’s attention as well.
Trish likes to drink and smoke, a good deal more than the average person would. She’s a bit of a chain smoker, going through about a pack and a half of Camel filters a day, and enjoys the taste of rye on the rocks.
Trish has alluded to a previous relationship with a girl named Kayla, who still knows nothing about. The only thing yet realized is that talking about Kayla is painful for Trish.
Trish’s physical appearance is still rather foggy. We know that she has larger sized breasts C+, and that she is fairly tall. That’s currently the extent of our knowledge.
• Tanja K: K Group Leader
As mentioned above, ’s own relationship with Tanja is strongly influenced by the first choice made. If Trish is the mentor, and Tanja may end up somewhat adversarial.
Tanja is the unquestioned and iron-fisted leader of the K Group, and it’s due in no small part to her tact and determination that the K’s have remained at the level of power they have.
The Tanja story has yet to be developed much, so we know little about her. She is blonde, and her bloodline is largely Russian.
• Chelsea K: K Group Communications Director
If Tanja is the despot that keeps the K Group in power, Chelsea is the bureaucrat that keeps it running smoothly… or at least, keeps it running as smoothly as possible.
Chelsea’s calm demeanor and attention to detail allowed for her to quickly ascend to Communications Director, one of the three top tier positions allowed by K – quite a feat for a girl who’s only been a member for four months. She understands the extreme differences in K Girls, and the clash of personality that happens because of this, and spends a good amount of her time doing what management types call “putting out fires”.
Trish is the only K Girl that really gets along with Trish. Simultaneously, she’s the only person that Tanja would call a “friend”, yet for her own part, Trish does her best to avoid picking horses. She just wants all the K’s to get along.
Physically, Chelsea is fairly short, about 5’5”, and though largely thin, she has faint pooch that non-Los Angeles types would probably consider cute. Though naturally raven-haired, she’s given herself light brown streaks, and often wears her hair in pigtails. She’s of average chest size (B+/C-), and could easily be called “doe eyed”. She wears contact lenses.
• Charles Gnoblé: English Teacher
Looking a few years older than his age of 26, Mr. Gnoblé, who would prefer you call him “Charles”, is now in his second year as an English Teacher at Davinci. He gets along well with most of his students, and a large number of them would call him their “favorite”, and is always willing to put in extra time with any student in need of help. Though the faculty seems pleased with him making all this extra time for the students, they are notably nonplussed with him allowing them to explore the bawdier sides of their personal expression in creative writing classes. Charles has been scolded numerous times for encouraging his students to add questionable content to their short stories, creating a divide between staff and students.
• Officer 4862: Liaison Officer
Eternally unshaven, with bits of his food from last week hiding somewhere in his unkempt mini-beard, Officer 4862 is even lazy by security guard standards. There is only one question in Officer 4862’s mind, and he’s asking it constantly: “How can I best avoid doing anything?”

A guide to the power struggle within Davinci
Cliques in Davinci are melodramatically important. Each student is a member of one clique or another, and struggles between take precedence over anything else.
• The K Group: All female. 1st Tier.
The K Group has seemingly been around as long as Davinci has, and they’ve always been the apex. To be in the K Group is to be a K Girl, and there’s no better thing a girl could be. Rumors are constantly circulating about The K’s. Commonly held beliefs are that all K Girls are lesbians, that they engage in orgies with each other, that they’re all heavy drug users, and they’ve got some mansion somewhere where they all live together. Of course, none of this could be confirmed nor denied – all communication within K Girls is done secretly, and their security measures are severe. The only thing that everyone agrees about concerning the K: Don’t piss them off. K Girls all adapt “K” as their last name once they become members, and are the only ones who do so.
• Mara: All male. 1st Tier.
Mara is a relatively new addition to the clique circuit, and snatched up the power they have quickly. Comprised mostly of urban artists, especially those who do graffiti, they seem to be non-participants in most of the clique warfare. This begs the question of how they became 1st tier, although there are two good possibilities. First, they seem to be on amicable terms with The K Group. Second, Mara’s are typically good looking guys with tattoos who look like they could hold their own in a fight.
• Dharne: Mostly female. 2nd Tier.
If there’s any group more obsessed with the power dynamic at Davinci, it’s the Dharne – but maybe that’s just because they’re not on top.
The Dharne (pronounced Dar•nay) are almost exclusively female, though they do invite a few male power players into their ranks. The ceremony and protocol surrounding Dharne members is notably similar to that which the K Group is said to have for itself, furthering the rumor that the Dharne was started by an ex-K Girl. The primary goal of the Dharne is to usurp The K Group.
• Spliff: Co-ed. 3rd Tier.
Say hello to the stoners. The Spliff is exclusively for people who enjoy marijuana first and foremost. Typically far too docile to be considered either important or a threat to other groups, the ready availability of pot each member seems to be carrying means they have far-flung allies.
• Crix. Co-ed. Bottom tier.
If Davinci were a feudal country, and it resembles one in many ways, the Crix would be the plebs of the country. Not unique in any way, the Crix is both the largest and the worst clique to be in. Crix members claim that being a Crix member is to believe that the whole clique system is stupid, although that seems largely what they say to themselves to justify being Crix members. The upshot of being a Crix is that it’s a widely held belief that K Girls do most of their recruiting of Crix girls.
There are more cliques at play, but as they have yet to be mentioned, I haven't added them to this guide. |
