The K Group: Desumo Acceptus | citrusmirakel | 6

“Trish, you know you’re not authorized to do one of these things.”

“I also knew nobody else was going to.”

“Look, I know Kayla…”

“Leave Kayla out of this, please. I know what it takes and this girl doesn’t.”

“That’s the whole point, isn’t it?”

“Chelsea, I love you. Dearly. I’m just saying this is one of those rules that completely works against us.”

“The rule was instigated…”

“The rule was instigated years ago. And after that, Kayla helped me, and I know I couldn’t have done it without her. The point of this non-involvement thing is so none of the girls get classified information, which she won’t. I’m simply going to make her a better candidate.”

“So what do you expect me to do? It’s going to be pretty obvious you did this.”

“Just talk to them. It’s an antiquated rule, and she deserves a fair chance.”

“You won’t tell her anything she shouldn’t know?”

“Of course not.”

“Look at me, slut.” I looked into Chelsea’s eyes. She didn’t look happy.

“Trish is going through a lot of trouble to help you, remember that. If you fuck this up…”

“Jesus, don’t threaten the girl.” Trish stopped her.

“You’re lucky I love you so much Trish.”

“I’m aware of that. Wanna come over later on and see how everything’s shaping up?”

“Yeah, I suppose.”

“My place at eight.”

“Alright. Now to go watch Tanja have a conniption.”

“Heh heh.”

The door opened and Chelsea left.

“Stay back there until I tell you it’s clear, okay?”

“Yes Trish. What was that…”

“Later.”

The car drove for a few miles, with Trish and I saying nothing to each other. It was an uncomfortable position I was in. Not just because I was laying on piles of crap, but also because Trish apparently was doing something against the rules to help me. I didn't know why I was worth it.

“Coast is clear. Climb up in the passenger’s seat.”

I wiped off the stray tobacco clinging to my skin and climbed into the seat. “So what…”

“Nope. I ask questions first. So, how did you get rid of Derek?”

“You knew?”

“I’m asking the questions, slut. Jesus, maybe this whole thing was a mistake.”

“No! No, it’s not. I’m sorry. I told him I was relieving him.”

“So you just let him go?”

“No… I was going to, but then I told him he was ordered to get spanked by every Crix in Crix Hall.”

“Heh heh. Nice touch. Hate to see him get off too easy.”

“Well, he… he spread some rumors about me a couple years ago. I remembered that and… I guess I wanted to get back at him.”

“Okay, first thing’s first - don’t you dare do that again. You’re not a K yet, and making up punishments is not a good way to get started. Understand?”

“Yes. God, I’m sorry. I’ve fucked up so many times already. Maybe I should just quit this.”

“The hell you will. I’m not breaking the rules for nothing.”

Trish asked

          "So... where do you live?"
