You pause outside the large ornate double doors. Just through these doors are the greatest heroes in the world just past these doors is gathered such majesty and grandeur as few have ever been honored to be with beyond these doors is your future if you can only grasp it and make it yours.
Taking a deep breath you reach out to each door and pull them open. As the doors swing slowly open you are greeted by….a janitor’s closet. Hanging on the wall of the small room which is probably not much bigger than 15x15, are various brooms and mops on the floor are buckets and cleaners. Inside is a man in coveralls pouring water into a mop bucket. The man looks at you with an understanding look on his face.
“You here for a meeting with the league ,aint ya?”
“Well actually yes, yes I am. The robot told me to come here.”
“Yeah, them great heroes, the league. But they don know crap about hiring a good architect. Some moron put the wrong doors on some of the rooms and the stupid robot was programmed to take people to these doors, where the meeting hall is supposed to be.”
“So where do I go then?”
“Just turn around. At the end of the hall is a small door with rusted hinges and a warped wood frame. That’s where you wanna be.”
“Thank you for your help.”
“Yeah don mention it. I gotta get back to work anyhow. Man I wish dark horse would learn to clean up after himself.”
You turn around and head back to the other end of the hall. When you find the door the janitor was talking about you can hear people talking from inside the room although you can’t make out what they are saying. It never hurts to have a little extra information you think and since you are already at a bit of a disadvantage you cast a quick spell to listen in more clearly at what is being said inside before you enter the room and another spell to see through the door as well.
You were definitely not prepared to see and hear what was going on in the room. This is the League of Ultra Justice Avengers after all and you would not have expected this type of behavior from them.
