A thin man in a butler's suit ushers you into an elevator that takes you up many floors to the gymnasium. Once inside you are greeted by some of the members of the League.
Midknight - The darkly dressed protector of the city after sunset. As far as you know, he doesn't have any powers but you've heard that he is the most highly trained fighter alive.
Paragon - The premier hero of the city and a true icon. He is a rolemodel for any aspiring hero and a great leader. He has colossal strength and is almost indestructable. You can't even remember all his powers but you know that flight and heat vision are some of his powers.
Sea Man - He is the king of the oceans and ambassador to the airbreathers. He has enhanced strength and can breath underwater.
Amazonian - A tall gorgeous woman with a muscular but sexy body, large breasts and long dark hair.
"Greetings, um... Paragon?" Amazonian says to you as she looks at her clipboard.
"Yes," you say. "That's my name."
"That's awfully daring of you to take the name of one of the most well-known heroes in the city and then come to audition before him for a spot on his team." said the other Paragon, in his mighty voice.
"First of all what makes you think you are worthy of joining us," Amazonian says as she pulls out her pen.
You smile as you answer. This was such an obvious question and the answer comes easily. "To be perfectly frank, I am here to see if your team is worth MY time. I am very powerful on my own and I would join you only to increase the anmount of good I can do while working in a group dynamic."
"You're a cocky one, aren't you?" Midknight says to you.
You cant resist an obvious look down at his crotch as you answer. "Not as much as some, but my powers speak for themselves."
"Well then, let's just skip ahead to the first part of the physical test, the obstacle course." Midknight says as he points you towards the elaborate course set up before you in the gymnasium that takes up almost the entire floor. The team leads you to the starting line. Sea Man explains it to you.
"This course is set up to test your powers, strength and agility, as well as your other abilities. Your goal is to retrieve the medallion at the other end of the gymnasium within ten minutes."
"The course is designed to be very challenging. If you cannot complete the course, you are not worthy of joining the League." Amazonian says to you. "Begin"
You laugh as you calmy raise your hand and unleash an energy blast that completely destroys the obstacle course. Every piece of machinery and equipment is now a pile of melted slag, yet so fine is your control that the medallion is completely unharmed.
You walk over and return the medallion to Amazonian's hand. "What's the next test?" you ask. |
