Well, I ended up with a little flack for reporting for duty. It really wasn't much more than a tongue lashing and some finger wagging. I think the captain's quite good at handing out punishments since she was formerly the chief security officer. Heh, I wonder what type of tongue lashes and finger wagging she'd be able to pull off in an interrogation. Maybe a bedtime interrogation... ack! I'd better check if superior officers have access to these logs...
Anyways, today's more about sexual frustration rather than sexual exploits... I was working my shift, like normal when I spotted an abnormality on the long distance scanners. It was a strange energy wave pulse that originated from a plan in an upcoming system. The captain agreed to check it out in case it might help us out on our journey home.
Upon arriving on the planet we found it to be inhabited by a pre-warp race called the Mayorans. The Mayorans actually have a very similar body structure to us humans, except their epidermis is patterned similar to jaguar spots or tiger stripes. Every Mayoran's body has a different pattern.
The senior officers had a meeting to decide what course of action should be taken. Whether they would send in operatives into the Mayoran culture and find what they could about the strange energy source, or we would investigate the energy source without even interfering with the primitive culture. We would have to send a shuttlecraft to investigate the energy since it interfered with the transporter. It was eventually decided that both options were viable. One party would be sent to meet with the Mayorans in Mayoran disguise while the other would be sent to the isolated mountain region where the energy emanates from.
Guess which party I was picked to join. |
