I rush to put the tape into the VCR to see what my wife's been up to... this will be the ultimate proof and then i can confront her about the other tape. There is no way she can deny both of the tapes. I pop the tape into the VCR...
A scene begins to unfold... my wife walks into the room and is joined by one of my better friends. When i confront my wife i'm going to have to confront him also... i can't believe that he would do something like that to me.
I continue to watch and try to listen to what they're saying. Turning up the TV's volume i hear them talking about a birthday surprise for me. Crap... she must have invited him over to talk about my birthday and here i am getting paranoid for no good reason. But the other tape? What about the other tape, that must prove something. She and my friend leave the room... i fast forward until they walk back in. Maybe now this is when everything'll start up. But still nothing, they're talking about going shopping for something for me. So she wasn't lying when she said she was going shopping.
I stop the tape... what am i thinking? I should just confront her about the original tape, find out what that was all about, maybe there's a good explanation for it all? |
