Aaralon's Discoveries | Sixth | 4

Aaralon crept out from his attic hideaway, down the steps of the near deserted tower at the corner of the college campus and snuck into his own dormitory. He was tired but would have to be up early for class the next morning. His bed looked tempting.

He undressed and pulled back the covers of the bed. Aaralon blinked. There, lying just below the bottom of his pillow, a scribbled note had been hidden on his bed. He didn?t recognise the handwriting but it had a distinct feminine feel to it. Aaralon climbed into bed and read the note.

"Dream lover,

Where were you tonight? I was waiting for you. I was naked under your sheets. My fingers stroked my sex and played with my breasts while I waited for you. I have dreamt of you for weeks, I have dreamt of kissing every inch of your skin and I have hungered to taste your seed. Tonight I had the courage to meet you, I had planned to act out all my fantasies on you but you did not come.

I shall dream of you again.
- your secret admirer."

"Fuck," Aaralon grumbled. He had missed out on all this because he had been pissing around with cheeky bastard midget demons. The note didn't make it clear whether he had blown his chances with this girl, whoever she was. He folded the note and slipped it back under his pillow. Whoever had written this note must have only recently given up waiting on him since it wasn't that late, it was just after midnight. He hadn't seen anyone coming out of the dormitory as he snuck back in either. Aaralon decided that the chances of the author of the note being one of the girls native to his dormitory were high. Perhaps she was dreaming of making love to him even as he lay here wondering who she was.

The young mage began to think of a plan has he pulled out his illegal demonology book and flicked through the pages. There, near the end of the book and in the section about intangible demons he found the entry that he was looking for - The Nightmare -. The Nightmare was a demonic horse; a creature of dreams and it was the very creature that the name nightmare for unpleasant dreams. The demon Nightmare didn't just cause nightmares though, the book said that a demonologist could prepare the correct ritual, go to sleep and there, in the dream world, meet with a Nightmare and ride on its back and into the dreams of other people.

Should Aaralon summon the Nightmare and attempt to find his secret admirer by finding her dream?

          The dream hunter.
