You wrap your cloak around your head and go back to sleep, assuming that the wagon driver should be able to fight off the bandits, anyways.

The next morning, you look down and guess yourself wrong. In the daylight you can more clearly see the road, and the results of last night. A dead man with a bloodied sword next to him lies on the ground next to the now partially burned wagon. Neither the driver or her horses are anywhere to be found. You hop out of your tree, swinging your cloak back onto your shoulders, and walk to the scene.

The corpse has a bloody pulp instead of a face, but is clearly a bandit and not anyone come to help. Maybe the driver picked up something in the fight and smashed his face, but most likely he had his head kicked in by one of the horses. You see a letter stuck in the ground by a dagger. Pulling it up, you read it to yourself. It's a ransom note to the friends and family of the driver, Sizati Caundle. You drop it back to where it was and decide on the spot to try for a rescue.

Do you go for help or do you go lone vigilante?

          Go it alone.
