Well, I guess it had to happen one day. Dante's girlfriend and I had a little chat on lunch. It started with Wendy asking me to go to the bathroom with her. When we got there, she told me, "Look Darlene is going to be here in like 30 seconds. When she gets here, she is going to shoot off at her mouth. Just don't say anything until she's finished. She's cool; she just wants to be sure things stay cool."
Before I could respond Darlene came into the bathroom. I don't know, for some reason I thought she'd have a few girls with her, but it was just her. "Emily," she began. "I want to get a few things straight between us. I know on New Year's Eve you blew Dante. But I also know you blew Steve and a bunch of other guys that night, so its cool Dante's my man, but I don't own him. If he and the guys want to have fun and you want to have fun with the guys, and he happens to be one of them, that's cool with me. But if you ever try to make things personal between him and you, I'll tear your eyes out. But as long as he's just one of the guys having fun, and you are just having fun with the guys, then we're cool. Do you understand?"
I shook my head; I had no idea what she was saying. "Look, let me make it real clear. If some chick were to pull a train, and I were to not let him get a piece of her ass, he'd dump my ass so fast I wouldn't know what time zone I was in. So our only rule is no one-on-one without anyone else. And if he ever makes a move on you, one on one special like, you best tell me, because it might just be a test. Got it?"
"Yeah I got it," I think I understood what she meant, though I don't quite know what it is to pull a train, I understood that she wasn't mad that I blew her boyfriend..
Well, other that that it was a boring day. How boring? The highlight is that I have a math test Friday; I told you it was boring.
