When The Cat's Away | Imhotep | 8

“Dude, you’re in my space!” A female voice said.

Opening his eyes, and looking out his window at the source of the comment that awoke him, Gary saw a stereotypical California girl standing next to the van. Flowing blonde hair the color of corn silk, tanned smooth skin free of blemish, fit and trim athletic body with curves where they should be. She leaned into the open window space, and over him. Her form fitting red bathing suit didn’t leave much to the imagination. And now that she was leaning over him, he had a good view of her cleavage. Her breasts were the size of grapefruits, and nearly spilled out of the skin tight one piece suit.

“So, are you gonna move your van, or what?” The blonde said as she took off her sunglasses, and looked over the interior of the van, and Gary. She dropped her glasses into a small canvas purse.

“Why should I move it?” Gary asked.

“’Cause I’m a lifeguard, sugar and this is my spot.” She leaned back out of the window, and pointed at a small faded metal sign designating the space as reserved for lifeguards. She walked back over to the window, and leaned inside once more.

“Nice van. I’m bet this van does a lot of rockin’. Looking for your next girl?” Her dark blue eyes locked on his, and then she winked. The in a low tone of voice she said "kidding".

“I’m just here to clear my head. Sorry I’m in your space.” He began to turn the key in the ignition, but reaching over; she stopped him, her hair falling into his face.

“You don’t have to be in such a hurry. I’m parked already, and no one cares unless I, or one of the other lifeguards call the cops. But I don’t think I will.” Smiling, she revealed a set of. straight, pearly white teeth.

“What’s your name?” She asked. After introducing himself, the blonde said that her name was Julie Leighton and that she didn’t start her shift for another hour.

“Can I come in?” She asked, and Gary reached over and opened the passenger door. Climbing in, she dropped her purse on the floor between her legs, and kicked off her flip-flops. The nails on her feet matched those on the end of her fingers, and were painted in a light pastel pink.

“I’m not usually this forward. I don’t want you to think I’m a slut or something. I did just break up with my stupid boyfriend. “He said I had to stop partying so much, and he got really pissed when I went out with some of the other girls. He'd freak if I smoked just a little dope. He was just such a nerd.” She shifted in the seat and ran her fingers through her long blonde tresses. She seemed to be considering something.

“Did you break up recently?” Gary asked, noting that the cool breeze had caused Julie’s nipples to harden.

“About two weeks ago. We met at the community college, Shoreline. I thought he was cool.” Julie turned around, and looking into the back of the van surveyed the mattress, sheets, blankets, and pillows lying haphazardly about She looked back at him.

“You wanna drive about half mile up the beach? We can smoke a little, and then maybe climb into the back and have some fun. I really need to get laid.” She said smiling broadly, and the provocatively running her tongue over her sensuous lips.

Was this girl serious, or just a tease?

How does Gary reply?

          “That sounds great to me.”
