Apartment 3G | JonGrey | 2

You begin the move the next day, while everyone is gone. Your boss has given you some time off to finish settling in, as the company's been having a slow week. He did congratulate you on finding a place and on the work that he's seen so far. Feeling good, you wake up on the sleeping bag you had been using as a bed at about six in the morning.

You creep out quietly. Despite the ladies' promise of avoiding the night life, you know for a fact that Sarah was up late, watching some action movie on TV until about three in the morning.

The morning is sunny (almost. It is only six o'clock), and it's going to be a nice warm day. You drive down to a storage area, where you have stored most of the furniture. Despite the early hour, you notice with some relief that the truck is waiting for you. You pull the moving van up to your block and open the eight by thirteen cement room.

You have a very light load (not much could fit the first time you moved), so it all fits in the van relatively easily. Your bed, a night table, and some lamps are amid a mountain of boxes, full of books, papers, a computer, and other necessities. At about eight o'clock, you finally finish, slamming the door to the van shut. You check the room one more time before locking it up and returning the key to the old man running the little place.

Your drive to the apartment is a bit hectic as rush hour has started. Using your incredible wit, you maneuver through the throng of traffic with relative ease. That and everyone seems ready enough to move out of a moving van's path.

As you lug the first box to the front door, you almost crash into Kelly, who seems to be on her way out.

"Holy shit!!" she shouts as you nearly fall backwards. ", are you alright?" You nod, shaking your head.

"Just a bit early, Kelly. Are you okay?" She smiles.

"Yeah. Do you want some help with that?"

Well, do you?

          Yes

No -- Wait until the fruit is ripe.

          Yes

Sure, she's just being polite after all
