She decided to go investigate the wharehouse in the old industrial district. Most of that area had been abandoned for some time, so Miss Patriot doubted that there would be anyone there conducting legal business.
Finding the wharehouse, Miss Patriot drove around it first, examining the outside. To her it looked like most of the other wharehouses here, old and abandoned. The exterior could use a good cleaning and the windows needed to be replaced. The heroine then parked her car and approached one of the doors. She grasped the rusted handle and pulled on it, the door didn’t budge. Either the door was locked or rusted shut. Miss Patriot tried again, this time using her superior strength, slowly the door opened, squeaking in protest as it was forced to move on its rusted hinges. Miss Patriot then stepped into the darkened wharehouse.
Letting her eyes adjust, she noticed that the main room still had a large number of boxes. The boxes were covered with dust and cobwebs. The heroine walked among the stacks of boxes not seeing anything of interest, she made her way across the wharehouse and then down to the end. Looking along the wall at the end, she noticed a door to the office. This search seemed to be turning up nothing, but she should check the office anyway, Miss Patriot thought to herself. She walked along the wall towards the office. Reaching the metal door, she grasped the handle and pulled on it…..
