12 Hours until Doomsday | Sim8425 | 1

The date is June 6, ’06. You hear your alarm ringing loudly, piercing your ears. It feels like you're going to go deaf. Still, you try to tolerate the noise, as you know that you only have 12 hours to live. You want to indulge in all your senses, as you spend your final hours on Earth. You drowsily glance at your clock, it reads 6:66 AM, and a dozen hours from now, that clock will be no more. In fact, you will be no more, everything that you are, and that you know will be gone.

How do you know this? For the past four years, you've seen visions, visions of various events worldwide, and good or bad, every one of them has come true. Last year, you received a vision, involving a massive tornado. Your vision did not show you where the incident took place, but it showed the results. That incident was dubbed ‘The Tornado of '05’, simple yet effective. It took place in the southern continent, taking almost all of the life present there. Scientists looked at it as the type event that happens once every million years, so there was no worldwide scare, just worldwide mourning. That vision was very traumatizing, and vomit inducing. In fact it was your scariest vision, well before your most recent one…

Your latest vision was as terrible as they come. You saw the end of the Earth. The sky reddened angrily, the stench of death seeped into the air, and the streets were stained with the blood of the innocent. You never understood why you received the visions. You always questioned the purpose, and wondered if you could do anything about them. Why? Why? Why? Thinking like that always caused you many headaches, instead of worrying; you decide to enjoy your last 12 hours alive. What was to come in death, you did not know. Were you scared? Yes. Was your fear going to stop you from enjoying your last hours? No way.

You move out of your bed. You stretch your arms wide. You yawn, putting your body at ease. You brush your teeth like you would everyday, just because you are going to die soon, doesn’t mean that you are going to stay home and cry about it. You enter the shower, setting it to a soothing temperature. You close your eyes, enjoying every soothing drop of water that hits your skin. You get dressed, putting on your favorite clothes. You fix your hair up modestly. You walk downstairs, put on a pair of shoes, and you’re out the door.

The cool breeze of the outdoors soothes your mind and your soul. You breath in as much fresh air as you can muster with one big breath. You look back at your vacant house, before leaving it alone, and unlocked. The house was once filled with people, siblings, parents, a family, which you were very proud of. They were taken away from you in a tragic accident in ’02. The train they rode in violently crashed, whilst they were visiting your aunt and uncle. You could not go, as you spent your time with your study group, preparing for a big exam. That was your very first vision as well. You did not take it seriously at all, in fact, exams were all that was on your mind at the time.

You look around at your everyday surroundings. It is as quiet as usual in the mornings. You see the same elderly woman taking a walk, exactly like she does every morning. You see a few cars roaming by, with some people leaving for their early shifts. It looks like today is going to be a regular day, but you know differently. Your visions are sadly never wrong. You check your watch; it reads 7:66 AM.

What happens between 7:66 AM and 8:66 AM?
