“Your choice, Mick,” Kate smirked. “What’ll it be?”
“Truth,” he said, sipping at a rum and coke.
“Hmm,” Kate glanced at Sarah, still red from the Mick’s mockery.
“What’s the most embarrassing moment in your life, Mick?” Kate said, wanting to humiliate him as he had Sarah.
“Let’s see,” Mick said. “The most embarrassing moment? Probably when Ms. Carmichael walked into the men’s locker room as I was coming out of the shower.”
“Ms. Carmichael?” Samantha asked. “What did she teach?”
“English,” Mick answered.
“I think I remember her,” Sarah said. “She was a teacher for just the one year, right?”
Mick nodded.
“Why did she leave?” Samantha asked.
“Dunno,” Sarah said. “I heard a rumor that she was pregnant, though.”
Kate looked at Mick and saw him grinning.
“Mick,” Kate started. “What happened in the locker room?”
“Won’t say,” he smirked.
“C’mon,” Kate pleaded. “I want to know.”
“Yeah, tell us,” Samantha said.
“Well,” Mick said, eyeballing the girls. “I could tell you, but…”
“You want something from us first,” Sarah said, suddenly worried but excited by the prospect of Mick’s story.
“What do you want?” Samantha asked, wondering what she would have to do.
“What do you have to offer?” Mick suggested.
The three girls put their heads together, their whispers filling the room.
“We’ll pay you,” Kate offered, after the trio separated.
“No, thanks.”
“We’ll strip,” Samantha gulped.
“Nah.”
“I told you so,” Sarah muttered.
It was eating Samantha up inside. She had to know what happened between Mick and Ms. Carmichael.
“I have to know,” Samantha blurted out.
“Don’t!” Sarah hissed. Samantha glared at her friend.
“We’ll do anything you want us to do tonight,” Samantha said eagerly.
“Was there a vote on this?” Mick asked, stirring on the couch. “Did the majority of you girls agree to this?”
Samantha nodded to Kate while Sarah shook her head. Kate felt torn between her friends, but she, too, was excited at the prospect of Mick’s story.
“Sarah was the only against,” Kate said. “But we’re all yours for the rest of the night. Now, tell us what happened.”
