A New Job | argonaut | 3

Jenny arrives at your house a little before 7:30, and as you open the door she is busily trying to make her hair as stylish as possible. She is wearing a very effective light blue shirt and a fashionable brown skirt. The shirt is quite tight, and you can make out the outline of her lace bra and firm nipples. She flashes you a smile and grins. "You look great" you comment truthfully, and, noticing the sincerity in your voice, she gives you a playful slap on the chest. You walk with her down to her car and hop in, but to your surprise (and horror) you see a relatively old woman in the back seat, wrapped in a shawl. You involuntarily jump, and look at Jenny. She just smiles and says, "Oh that's my mum. Sorry to spoil the date, but I have to drop her off at the club." You can see that she is trying to act casual, and she definitely isn't a good actor. "Mum, this is my boyfriend Darren".
You almost splutter. Sure, Jenny is super hot and seems really nice, but she is hardly your girlfriend. You stare at her to see her blushing profusely. She goes to say something, then stops and just starts the car and begins to drive up the street. Looking back nervously at her mum, you lean towards her and whisper, "boyfriend?". She too glances at her mum and whispers back conspiratorially, "it's a long story. She's been nagging me that I need a boyfriend for ages, so I made up that I’ve had a date for about a month. She never believed me, so I thought that if I took her along, I'd have proof".
She was now beetroot red in the face, and was trying hard to concentrate on the road. She looks at you anxiously, "Sorry Darren, but could u keep up the show? I mean, if you really don't want to..."
"Don't worry about it," you say reassuringly, trying not to laugh, and Jenny visibly relaxes a bit.
You finally reach the club, and Jenny’s mum moves to leave. Suddenly, she says cheekily to Jenny, "So maybe you do have a date". Jenny nods. "Well, then I know you two lovebirds are going to start kissing once I leave, so why don't you two start now? Don't mind me".
Jenny looks shellshocked at her mother. "Mum! That's ridiculous!"
Her mother looks at her unfazed. "Come on, Jen, he's been your boyfriend for a month. What's the matter?"
Jenny stares speechless at her mother. You don't know whether to intervene, but eventually you decide to do something.
"Don’t worry Jenny" you say nervously, "it's only your mum." And with that you lean slowly towards her. Jenny's mind is racing at a hundred miles per hour, and doesn't realise what you are doing. Even when you are close enough to hear her quick breathing does she start to understand. You begin to waver, not receiving the response you hoped for, and begin to move back. You look urgently into Jenny’s blank eyes, and finally see them spring into action. In a split second, you hear her take a ragged, hesitant gasp, and then she takes the plunge, moving awkwardly forward and parting her lips. You meet her, and shiver as you feel her warm, full lips meet yours in a passionate kiss. Your lips mould themselves together, pulling at each other. Instinctively, you move your arm around her and place it across her back, caressing her shoulder blades. You can feel her respond, as she places her palm flat on your chest, tugging at your shirt. Suddenly, you realise that you are playing dangerously with the clasp of her bra and jerk away. But she is obviously enjoying your mouth, and slowly opens her eyes, looking slightly disappointed as you move away. Then, realising that her mother is still present, coughs to cover the awkward silence and turns away. “Well, well” says her mother. “Only a month-long boyfriend would kiss a girl like that. I only wish your father was that good a kisser….” She began to ramble on about how she first met her husband, and you and Jenny share a secret glance. She rolls her eyes, and you can feel a laugh rising uncontrollably within you. Seeing you struggle to control your laughter, Jenny too begins to crack up. It is only after you quickly manage a “well, have a great night at the club Mrs Morgan, but we’d better get going on our date” and Jen closes the door that the both of you burst out into fits.
After you have both settled down a little, Jenny looks at you earnestly and says, “thanks Darren. That was really nice of you”. You smile back, and coyly remark “you’re not a bad kisser you know”. She turns away sharply, again blushing terribly, but as unused to receiving compliments as she is, she can’t suppress a huge grin. She characteristically goes to slap you on the knee, but as clumsy as she is, she ends up putting her hand on your inner thigh. Horrified, she hesitates, leaving her hand there for a good few seconds, then withdraws it suddenly, tightly gripping the wheel. There is an awkward silence, then you bring up the subject of her mother again, and the two of you are once again rolling around in tears. Finally, she gratefully flashes you a smile, and without any further hitches, you head off to the party.

do you stay with Jenny or move on at the party?
