The two of you drove for the next few minutes in complete silence, until--
"...You didn't have to save me." She mumbles, still looking at the road.
You look at her. Before you could say anything, she continues, "I'm not saying that I didn't want or need your help, because without it, I probably would have died. I guess what I'm saying is... thanks for putting your life on the line for me, because you could have just ran to save yourself."
You were about to speak, but she cuts you off again. This time she looks at you, "Then again... You could have just saved me because I was the only one who could free you from those cuffs. Is that why you saved me?" She asks, looking you right in the eyes. |
