A new job at Victoria Secret | thosearemysecret | 3

You arrive at a massive complex far in the countryside. As you enter the main driveway you pass a sign that says "Victoria's Secrets Testing Labs." You wonder what a clothing manufacturer would need with such a high tech looking laboratory.

The bald man escorts you into the lobby of the building. Employees cross in front of you and your jaw drops. The dress code is clearly different between men and women. All of the men you pass are either in lab coats or sharp business suits. While the women seem to be encouraged to wear clothing sold by the company. The majority wear dresses, pants, or blouses, but as you go deeper into the building you see the occasional employee in lingerie or simply bra and panties. "Please, Mr. , we have a respectful workplace here at Victoria's Secret. While our CEO, Ms. Greeley, encourages employees to show their pride in our products by wearing them to work it is very impolite for the men in the offices to stare as you're doing know. If you're going to work here these women, as scantily clad as they are, will be your colleagues. Show some respect."

You apologize and avert your eyes to the floor as you arrive at a door. The bald man punches some numbers into a keypad and the door slowly opens with a dramatic and likely unnecessary hiss. You walk down a long stair case going deeper and deeper under the building. Finally the stairs end at a hallway and you follow the bald man to a room. He motions for you to take a seat. The room is white with the exception of a one-way mirror on one wall. The only item in the room is a clipboard with a piece of paper on it in the center of a white table.

You sit across from the bald man. “As you may or may not know our company is always very concerned with our brand image. We want our clients to feel attractive when they purchase and wear our clothes and a great deal of that comes from marketing our clothes in a manner that convinces women to believe they’ll that way both before and after they’ve purchased the clothes. Of course, we also want our clients to look attractive in our clothes. It would be good for us if women felt sexy, but looked unattractive while wearing our items, now would it?

“However, in recent years the company has been faced with a growing concern. Cross dressers. We don’t discriminate. We love that a small slice of the male population want to wear our clothing because it makes them feel sexy. We don’t discourage it. However, most men aren’t attractive when wearing our clothes. We’ve decided we want to find a way to change that.

“We chose you after spending a great deal of time observing you. We know you’re passionate about Victoria’s Secret, but you aren’t a cross dresser. We feel strongly that we need someone in this project who cares about the products, but also has no experience trying to look sexy in our products. That’s for us to figure out so a new cross dresser can walk into our stores and feel confident they’ll walk out looking attractive.

“Unfortunately, due to the sensitive nature of this project we can’t reveal any of the ways we’ll go about achieving this goal before you agree to be a part of it. You’ll need to live on our campus and cannot disclose anything that happens to you here…ever. We’re offering a $250,000 salary, a $10,000 bonus if you sign right now, and full benefits. Will you be part of our team, Mr. ?”

Do you join the project?
