A Marvel(ous) Experience | bobbobbobthethir | 18

There really is no choice but to fight, you decide. After all, what can you do, run away? Your plane was not designed for speed, and there’s no way you’ll be able to outrun them. Thus, you press down on a button, and send out a salvo of homing missiles towards the incoming aircraft.
You press again, and send another wave out. You watch on your radar as the planes try evasive maneuvers. Out of the six that were chasing you, only one was destroyed by the two salvos. While the missiles were homing, they aren’t as agile as the jets, and they streak off into the distance, unable to pull off such a tight turn.
They respond by firing their own missiles, and you try to move the plane away. With a rolling movement, it appears that they have been dodged, but you anticipate incorrectly, and two slam into your left engine. It explodes a shower of sparks and flames, and you abruptly find the right engine turning your plane leftwards.
You rapidly flick some switches, angling all your flaps so that they force you rightwards, and you reach a direction that is nearly forwards. However, you only be able to move to the right by turning left.
In the end, the most problematic issue is really one of a lack of thrust. You slow down immensely, and can do nothing as missile after missile, bullet after bullet, and energy beam after energy beam destroys your plane.
You see that the Invisible Woman created a force-field around the women, and that they are working together to guide themselves to the surface, but they offer you no such help. You attempt to fly up into the air, but as bullets constantly hit your body, you find yourself having to expend all your energy onto healing yourself. You can regenerate bone and flesh and incredible rates, but at a high-cost, and you eventually hurtle to the ground and crash against it, dying an unfortunate death.

You died. You could easily have done better with this choice, but whatever.

You died. Try again!
