The first package is for the Vicar, a Reverend Allsop. The vicarage is a pretty, old fashioned building behind an equally pretty old church. You walk whistling up to the vicarage door and give a loud knock.
After a minute or so, the door is opened by a pretty but nerdy looking young girl, about 18, with masses of curly brown hair tied back loosely, a pair of big round lensed glasses with thick rims, and a generous smattering of freckles. She's wearing a weirdly old fashioned tweed dress, and leans against the door frame with her arms folded, looking at you with quiet interest.
"Package for the vicar, needs signing for!" you say brightly. The girl nods.
"That'll be for mother, she's the vicar. She'll be in the church.. of course, if you bring it inside, I could sign for it..."
She tips you a wink. Hmm. |
