“Oh! Yeah! That sounds like fun! I haven’t gone hiking in ages. Being in law school we tend to forget that there’s a whole world out there, but we’re planning on taking the day off anyway, so that would be great! Hey, Kate, we’re going hiking! Do you and Julie wanna come?” As she asked something dismaying occurred to her, “Sorry Robert… is that ok? It’s just that I know Kate would love to go hiking and they are a lot of fun to have around.”
“Of course! I mean, we’ll have plenty of time to talk, and as you say, they are… umm… entertaining.”
With perfect timing the door to the bathroom opens and Julie steps out with a towel wrapped around her hair and nothing else. You allowed yourself a quick glance at the cute little brunette’s cute brunette little sister. You quickly look back towards Meryl so as not to get caught staring.
“Oh, hi Robert,” Julie greeted you, “did I hear something about going hiking? That’d be fun, can Kate and I come?”
“God, the two of you are impossible! Yes, you can come, now go! Get dressed!” Meryl snapped, then, turning back to you, said “I would apologize on their behalf, but I guess that’s not really necessary, is it?”
“Well, no, not really, I appreciate those two running around naked but I don’t mind that you’re wearing clothes, no apology necessary,” you say through a wry grin.
Once Kate and Julie are finished getting dressed, the three of you go over details and make lunches. You run upstairs to throw on some appropriate clothes, and throw some fruit in a bag before heading back down to meet with the girls, who were waiting for you in the garage. The three of them are standing around talking and down notice you get out of the library. You see Kate has her hair clipped up and wearing a pair of baggy shorts and flowery halter top that ties with string at her waist and her neck, leaving her back open. Julie is wearing a pair of short khaki shorts, and an old white tank top that has been washed so many times that you can clearly see the string bikini that she is wearing underneath it. Last you looked to Meryl who was dressed more pragmatically in a pair of black track pants and very sleek black tank top.
The four of you hop in the car, and the drive to the trail head passes uneventfully. You all step out of the car to find that it’s warmer than you expected. You don’t mind because you’re appropriately dressed but you can see that Meryl is going to be a little warm in her black outfit.
“Ok guys, there are a couple of spots we can hike to. What do you think, which trail should we take?” you ask.
