You just can't stay here a second longer. You throw open the door of the hotel room and step out into a rainy night. The motel stands along side a two lane blacktop road. In all directions the only thing you can see is trees. Some part of you had thought that you were in a big city somewhere. New York? Chicago? Doesn't really matter any more, because you're not. You're in the country.
