Lusi looks uncertain for a moment, looking like that she is having a debate internally. Eventually she speaks.
"I know that tomorrow is a big day for us, and in particular you. I want to help in any way I can. I'm not up to anything tonight, would you like to stay here and share a pizza while we work.? Or you can come around to mine and I'll cook you something and we can thrash this out over a glass of wine."
You are genuinely surprised. While you two have gotten along well in the short time you have known each other, but this is the first time an 'encounter' after work hours has ever been mentioned, let alone initiated by her. You wonder if she is making a move on you.
"Don't be silly" the cynical part of your brain says "she doesn't want this to go wrong as it will look bad on her as well as you. Who do you think will get your job if you get promoted?"
You are torn. A pizza may be simpler, cheaper and more likely to be more productive as you will be in a professional environment, however you have been eaten 'junk food' all day and a good meal and a drink in the house of a beautiful lady is an attractive idea |
