You both arrive in Traverse Town, a town filled with lights and people. It seems to be around 7:00 pm, as it is pretty dark outside, with stars up above. You notice a poster on the wall depicting a heart outlined in red, but colored in black with a red squiggly x in the middle of it, as well as a picture of some kind of creature looking like a mouse, except it's all black with words on top reading: DO NOT VENTURE AT MIDNIGHT OR YOU WILL DIE! Great motivating words, aren't they?
You and Ventus then notice a note somewhere near the poster, explaining about a party at around 10:00 pm in the clock tower, requesting everyone to bring their invitations. You and Ventus seem quite interested in attending that party, since perhaps the man in black could be there and then you could get some answers from him. Then again, there could also be some pretty girls at the party, and probably you could get some action there. You read more of the notice and it tells you if there are any questions, Cid will have the answers at his jewelry store.
"A party, huh?" Ventus wonders, "I wonder if we should go there."
"Probably," you reply, "For all we know, the man in black could be there, and it's about time he start making sense about why he has us here."
"Yeah, but we don't have any invitations to it," says Ventus, apparently stating the obvious.
"Then we'll just have to ask anyone around who won't need it," you reply.
