Donovan decided to head over to Jason's house. He was a gear head and would flip when he saw his new ride. When he pulled up to Jason's house he stayed in the car and honked the horn. There was movement in Jason's window and in no time Jason was on the porch staring at the car. Donovan stepped out of the car and waved.
Jason ran across the lawn, "Dude should I be calling the cops?"
"Nope, this is all mine. Birthday present from my mom," He replied.
"This is a 458 Spider! $257,000, 4.5 liter V8, 570 horses, & 0-60 in 3.3 seconds." Jason said. "Dude there's nothing I could give you to compare to this."
Donovan laughed. "How about $1,000 and we'll call it even." He meant it as a joke but Jason pulled out his wallet.
"Man," Jason said, "I only have $200 on me. Can you wait for the rest?"
"Sure," Donovan said as he quickly reviewed this situation. He compared Jason's actions to his families this morning. Apparently he could get people to do whatever he wanted but the were fully aware of what they were doing. 'But there had to be more to it' he thought. There was just no way his mom could have afforded his new car.
"Hey man lets go inside." Jason said. "Mom and Kaitlyn are going to flip when you tell them about this."
They both headed inside and found Kaitlyn in the in the den watching "Iron Man." Kaitlyn perked up when she saw Donovan. He knew she had a crush on him and she was 19 so it was okay. But she was so shy. And her body was pixie like, but now when he looked at her, he could tell exactly how much. 5'0, long blonde hair, 108 lbs, 30 A-cup. Donovan paused at the last bit of information he had just processed. Once again thought about this morning with his family. He was like a walking body scan.
"Hey Donovan," Kaitlyn said completely ignoring her brother's presence. "Happy Birthday."
Donovan picked her up and gave her a big hug. She squeaked and blushed. "Now It's a happy birthday," he teased as he put her down. She got even redder and turned back to the T.V..
Jason laughed and elbowed Donovan lightly. "Dude you almost gave her a heart attack. You know she thinks you're dreamy!" Kaitlyn threw a pillow from the couch at her brother. He caught it and threw it back. "You throw like a girl..." he said, "Where's mom?"
"I am a girl," Kaitlyn huffed.
"An adorable one," Donovan put in. Kaitlyn turned away. Probably so he wouldn't see her blush again he thought.
"Mom was in the shower," she said. "But she's probably out by now." |
