Sam enters the office ready to explain the officers mistake. Without looking up from her desk, Madam Jane speaks.
"Sit down and be quiet young lady while I finish reading your file."
Sam quickly sits in the only other chair in the room and waits patiently. Madam Jane continues to read the papers in front of her, shaking her head slowly.
"Well, young lady, it seems like I've got my work cut out for me." She raises her eyes and looks directly at Sam. "Sit up straight, knees together, head high, like a proper young lady!"
Sam, completely terrified, does as ordered.
"There, that wasn't so hard was it? Now, it appears that we have you enrolled in our advanced program. Classes in posture, deportment, hair and make-up since you are apparently a Tom-boy, and ballet."
Sam opens his mouth to speak, but is quickly silenced by Madam Jane.
"I told you to remain silent Samantha! And keep those knees together. My assistant will take you over to stores to get your uniform, books and other supplies." |
