After a quick shower Annie dresses and goes downstairs. Her husband is in the kitchen, and as she appears he turns the kettle on and offers to make a cup of tea, which she happily accepts as she kisses him good morning.
“Going to be out all day I’m afraid” he informs her. She simply nods, use to him being out more than he is home. And in the back of her mind she is glad, knowing it will allow her to think about the emails and the things she is being told to do.
She sits and talks to him over breakfast, but before long he is easing his coat on and heading out of the door. And almost the moment she hears his car pull away she is up and turning on her computer. Booted up she logged on to her emails, dread filling her as she sees a new one from him.
“Oh please, not anything more” she moaned inwardly as she clicked on the email to open it. |
