A common plot in anime, both mainstream and hentai, is one (un)lucky guy who seems to be a magnet for girls who fall for him hard. And this is bad for him because he's usually only actually interested in one or two, but all the others are so nuts for him they keep screwing up any attemps he makes to sort the whole mess out.
