Before long you find yourself in orbit of the planet. Your scans indicate that it has a breathable atmosphere and some kind of civilization. But, as usual, that’s about all you can get of the things.
The place seems to be a giant jungle, closer to its sun than the Earth, so it takes a while to find a place to land the craft. When you leave it, you find yourself surrounded by the twisted foliage of an alien rainforest.
You are about to give up on anything here when you notice a path that seems to have been made by some kind of animal. Interested, you decide to follow that to see where it goes. Immediately, it goes nowhere but into more jungle. But after a while, you come into a separate clearing. And in the middle of it is a beautiful blonde woman, lying naked on the grass.
You know that the woman is an alien, but still she seems remarkably human. In fact, the only thing that distinguishes her from any other human woman you’ve seen is a certain sylph-like grace and delicacy in her body. Despite your better sense, you find yourself very attracted to her.
She looks at you calmly, not ashamed of her nudity. “Are you an alien?” she asks. You are somewhat surprised that she has a language that your universal translator can make sense of.
“Yes,” you say, surprised. “What makes you say that?”
“I saw your ship land a few seconds ago,” she replies. “Plus, you’re wearing clothes. It’s not the custom on my planet.”
“I see.” You are amazed about how calmly she is taking this. “Look, my ship is damaged. I need to know if you have certain parts.”
She laughs. “Of course I do. But before we see to your ship, it would be rude of you not to join in my culture’s accustomed greeting.”
You look at her cautiously. “Which is?”
“Fucking.”
Obviously, the proposition is tempting, and as a criminal you hate being rude. Nonetheless, you do like to show a little caution when on other planets, and you can’t help but worry whether something is up. |
