"In space no one can hear you breed" | reaper13 | 28

20 years have passed since that time. I am 40 years old my now, and is 38. During this time has given birth to many children.

Our firstborn, the twins, Amanda and Melissa turned out to be perfectly exact twins. They both had red hair, same eyes, nose and height. Even after they went through puberty, they were both well endowed. Though their personality’s were very different.
Amanda was very soft and gentle. Preferring to stay at our home colony and focusing on cleaning and cooking.
Melissa on the other hand, was the tomboy. Always ready to explore outside our home base, even when she was but a little girl. If it came to scouting or wilderness survival, Melissa was the expert on it.
If there was anything by which we could keep the two of them apart, it would be that Amanda chose to let her hair grow long, while Melissa cut it short. They are currently a little over 20 years old.

Next was our first and only son, Michael.
He had become interested in the local wildlife and wanted to tame some of the creatures. Eventually we had to expand our colony with a menagerie, specifically for him. We call it ‘Michaels zoo’. In a few months, it will be hist birthday, so I’ll need to search for a present for him.

Soon after Michaels birth, got pregnant of another daughter, Cheryl. She had black hair and rather pale skin. Unlike the twins, she had much smaller breasts. She complained about it often, but I always told her that small breasts were pretty as well.
As for her hobby, it was actually not so bad that she had a smaller bosom. She enjoyed tinkering with machinery. All kinds of machinery. Whether it be from robots to machines, computers or spacecraft. As long as it was mechanical, she was eager to take it apart. Sometimes that required her to crawl through tight spaces, and there a large chest would only be bothersome. She is now 19,5 years old.

It took me a while until I convinced my sister to carry another child for me, but eventually she did. Another daughter whom we named Sandra.
When she was born, we received quite a surprise. She had green hair. Green is not a hair color that was normal to the human species. After a lot of research, we figured the growth hormones we used from the robots to speed up the pregnancy must have caused some changes in Sandra’s genetic structure. After learned of this, she didn’t want to use the robot any more.
However that was the only difference we ever noticed on Sandra. She grew up to be a perfectly normal person, aside from the green hair. She also had equally green eyes to complement her hair-color, but green eyes were normal for humans. Since her brother and sisters didn’t know green has was out of the ordinary, she was never picked on because of it.
Sandra was a very maternal kind of girl. She enjoyed taking care of other people. As a result of this, she came to study medicine. She was our colony’s very first doctor, but I prefer to think of her as a nurse. Earlier this week she had turned 19 and we all celebrated her birthday, with some self-made alcoholic juices no less.

Our last child was another daughter named Cindy. Since refused to use the growth hormones from the robot, she carried her the natural way. And after nine months, we learned our last child had pink hair. Again, a color not normal to humans. Ever since then refused to give birth to any more children, fearing that her own DNA had been too damaged. I have tried to convince her otherwise, but so far I was unsuccessful.
Of all our children Cindy was the most artistic. She was always interested in drawing things, and if she couldn’t draw, she was making sculptures in the sand. It began with simple sand-castles, which steadily grew to become sand-fortresses. We decided that any society would require art in it’s culture, so we helped Cindy in all of her artistic endeavors.
She now about to turn 18. I already have a present for her which I ought to give her soon.

Our settlement has grown a lot as well. We’ve got 5 small domes where we live in, one for me and my wife/sister. One for Michael, another for Cheryl, a 4th for Sandra With Amanda and Melissa living together in a 5th. Since Cindy is about to turn 18 we placed a 6th for her. Once her birthday comes up, we’ll have a big party there after which she can stay there to live.
Like I aid before, we have a menagerie now, where Michael takes care of the animals. Outside the fences we now have large farms growing several crops, both plants that have been found on this planet, as well as those we have taken from our home planet, earth, and cultivated here.

That is the tale of how the first generation of humans was born on this planet. It was slowly getting time for the 2nd generation to be born.
