A Week That Didn't Count | tercesrepus | 8

As Max walked inside, carefully closing the door behind him, he turned to face inside, and immediately noticed he was seconds away from running into a blond girl... Rather, her chest, which it seemed came miles before the rest.

She wasn't looking, either, as she was shaking her head at Max's latest victory.

"I can't believe it," she said.

"I know," Max said, shaking his head the same way.

"I would never be that stupid!" she said.

"Oh! Are you a Delta?!" he asked her.

"Not yet!" she said.

She held up both hands to show her crossed fingers.

"They're letting me stay here during my Pledge Drive! Hopefully, they'll initiate me at the end of the week!" she said.

The mention of the week's end made Max remember his own deadline.

"Oh!" he said. "Well then, maybe that's why they didn't tell you the rules!"

"What rules?!" she asked him.

"In the sorority house, the sisters don't wear clothes at all!" he told her.

"Really? I wonder why they didn't tell me that!" she said.

"Maybe they thought it would turn you off from pledging!" he guessed, shrugging.

"Not a chance!" she said. "My Mom was a Delta, my sister was a Delta, and I'm going to be a Delta too! Is there anything else I should know?"

How does he respond?
