10 year High School Reunion | gspfan84 | 3

"Pretty dully party, don't you think? The boys and I were going to go out to the Flying Squirrel Cabaret and watch...the game. How about you join us?"

"Actually I only just got here, I'm going to stick around for a little while."

Buck shrugs his shoulders. "Suit yourself. I'm out of here."

Buck leaves and you comment to Heather, "Same old Buck."

"I'm so sorry about Buck's behavior."

"Don't be. He's the only one responsible for his actions. I don't suppose you'd do a nerd a favor and allow me a dance?"

She accepts and you lead her out onto the floor. Its been 10 years, but she is still capable of turning every head in the room. You silently thank Larry for his advice.

"I just feel like I should have done or said something back then. I saw the way he treated you and others. But I kept quiet and now I'm on the receiving end of his immaturity."

"Aw, it's fine. Really, I should probably thank him for providing me the motivation to get out into the world and make a difference."

The heady scent of her perfume and the press of her body against yours makes you bold. Your warm breath touches her ear as you lean closer and say softly, "You're even more beautiful now than you were back then."

She blushes. "Oh, you shouldn't say that. You know I had a baby."

"Really? I couldn't tell at all. Motherhood must agree with you."

She's quiet for a while, then she asks you, "Do you believe everything happens for a reason?"

Do you believe everything happens for a reason?

(Lie) Definitely. Do you want to go somewhere private and...talk?

(Truth) Definitely. Do you want to get out of here and continue this conversation?

          Not really.
