It was late after the football game, as Dave was driving Leigh home. They were both seniors; tired of school, and ready to get on with their lives as soon as they could get to college. Since they had to wait until they graduated, their last remaining days in high school seemed like a joke.
It was October in Georgia, so the weather was still really warm, even late at night like it was. They had gone to get a bite to eat after the game, and it was retty late for them.
As Dave pulled into Leigh's neighborhood, she looked over at him with a strange look in her eyes. But he knew what that look meant, and he knew what to do about it.
